Funding for the first Spring 2019 musical in the new Performing Arts Center. Musicals are 3-4 times more expensive than straight plays with average costs of $3000 – $5000.
Leif Atkisson, AP Spanish Language and Culture

The money will be used to buy a subscription to Yabla Spanish Language. This program uses music and other media to help teach Spanish at a high level. It is a way to incorporate the learning modalities, is auto-graded and a wonderful extension activity. The students can do the activities on their smart phones. Last year was the initial year of this program and it has proven to be very successful.

To purchase 12 folding chairs that would remain in the Counseling office to be used for parent/student meetings, 504 Plan and IEP meetings, and for small group counseling sessions.

To help students pay the necessary fees to take the AP 2-Dimensional Art exam. All students in Mr. Moodie’s Photography classes build a portfolio of artwork, equivalent to that which is necessary to submit to the College Board for the AP 2-D Art exam.

Funding for MCJROTC recruiting efforts, drill meets, and events. This is helping with Pop-Up Tents, Barber Clippers, Large Blue-Tooth Speaker, and 20 Uniform Travelling Bags.

Coach Gerardi is starting weightlifting competition at OHS. These funds help to purchase shirts and trophies for contests.
